Burden

Today's poetry prompt:

How heavy is your burden?

Martha’s reply:

Heavy is the head that wears the crown

Running a household isn’t all roses

I might be queen of the castle grounds

Some in my life can’t see in front of noses

Disabled queen tries to rule fair

people test me, make me pull out hair

I handle money, budget, pay the bills

But no one really knows how bad this feels

Mostly Ignored and blamed for lack of things

people around me don’t understand the hell this brings

They pull at my heart and it hurts so bad

A way out isn’t in my cards, makes me sad
