Martha’s entry:

I was excited Christmas morning

Excited for birthdays too

I lived to dress up for Halloween

Saturday morning cartoon were my religion

I felt free as I floated in the calm water

I felt alive as I swung from the steel swing

I felt joy as I rolled down the hill in the backyard

I felt happiness of just being me as I danced

But we grow up eventually

Time sees to that

But I still smile and remember

The days I still felt like a child
