Martha's contribution:
Another brick in the wall
Build it high, build it tall
Protect myself from the fall.
Never let them see me cry
Never look them in the eye
All they ever do is fucking lie.
Keep my armor up at all time
Their moods shift upon a dime
Breaking my heart should be a crime.
Let the mask be my shield all day
Never let it fall, come what may
Never let my heart bleed and fray.
Give them nothing when they give me trials
Give them nothing but fake smiles
Give them an inch they'll take miles.
Behind my wall I'll safely sleep
Not making a sound not making a peep
And my broken heart will be mine to keep.
- based on my true life trauma
