In light of recent events in my life I am using today's prompt to express my disappointment.
They hide their faces,
Behind masks and lies
Slip through legal cracks,
often fail to realize
Some of us see them for what they are,
We observe silently & patiently,
Their masks slip when they are not on guard.
Violent abusers, offenders, and hate,
The police won't help the victims,
They only feel sorry when it's too late.
When you're left alone scared and stressed,
What do you do when the system fails,
Police leave the situation be, it's never addressed.
Hidden faces, never brought to justice
